I’m so glad you came to visit!
My name is Ann Marie Detavernier.
Don’t worry, I won’t make you say my last name – you can just call me Ann Marie.
Ten years ago, I met a handsome young man in uniform and agreed to correspond with him when he went off to war. We fell in love through our letters and after a whirlwind engagement, we were married and moving across the country to Fort Lost in the Woods.
Fast-forward to the present, we are now living in El Paso, Texas with three beautiful children and a border collie named “Dixie”. We’ve survived 4 deployments (totaling 48 months) and moved 5 times. It’s been a wild ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I kinda fell off the radar of the blogosphere when we moved here because of many different things. We bought a house, I have a garden, I volunteer a lot, we started homeschooling, we bought a vintage camper… the list goes on and on!
But I’ve missed all of you!
So I decided it was time to begin fresh.
In a new place… with a new name!
“Farming Grace” has become a mantra of sorts to remind myself to slow down, savor our everyday life moments, pay kindness forward, and be a living testament to the loving God I believe in. In the words of Mother Theresa, “Let’s do something beautiful for God”. This will be my new space to write and share my life through learning and sharing that grace.
Please stop by to visit anytime – there’s sure to be a fresh cup of coffee
or a glass of southern sweet tea with your name on it!
